It’s the time of year when resolutions are in the forefront of your mind.
If you have been wondering whether the practice of Yoga would be something you may like to explore, you might like to join me for a morning of Beginners yoga.
In this lighthearted workshop, I will share with you some of the basic principles of yoga, so that you feel confident and happy enough to either attend a regular class or to begin a routine at home.
I will explore some of the most common postures with you so you are comfortable when practicing them.
As the breath is the most important part of any yoga practice, and it is often experienced subconsciously in every day life, I will spend some time helping you to establish a connection to your breath that will further aid your sense of wellbeing and ease of practice, both in a class situation and during your day to day life.
We will explore meditation and deep relaxation and the many ways you can begin your own relationship with these tools.
Should you have any personal concerns, I will be available to explore these with you during the morning.
Aimed at those who have never practiced yoga before, or those who would just like to come back down to basics and be a ‘beginner’ again, this workshop promises to deliver a glimpse into the joy that is Yoga!
The class begins at 9.45am so a prompt arrival is appreciated.
I have some yoga mats I can lend to you and some that will be available for purchase should you prefer to buy one of your own. (You can of course bring your own mat along instead)
Please do bring a blanket and a pillow for the relaxation.
It is important that you ensure your environment is appropriate for a variation of moves, such as wide hip openers and or a wall you can use for support and safety. Yoga Freedom offers regular monthly and bi-monthly Yoga and relaxation events in Kingsthorpe. The wonderful community of Yoga Freedom students also come together annually, to celebrate The Autumn and Spring Equinox and the Summer and Winter Solstice. Christmas is a time for getting together and relaxing too, so why not look out for the Winter’s Deep Chill event.
Yoga Freedom offers occasional 6 week mini courses to get you started on your journey to health and wellbeing. I run these courses by demand, so please do let me know of your interest and I will let you know when the next course is scheduled.
